About me
I have many years experience working with people to facilitate personal development and offering support in dealing with the challenges thrown down by life.
For a number of years I have focussed on working with people with eating disorders, including one to one work and co-facilitating a self-help group for five years.
More recently, I have gained specialist training working with people with drug and alcohol issues by co-facilitating a group and on a one-to-one basis.
I currently facilitate a self-help support group for family members of injured (be that physical or emotional) servicemen and women and have a special interest in working with trauma. If you are a family member of an injured soldier, sailor or airman and want to know more about this group, please check out 'The Ripple Pond' to see what we are about.
I have a Diploma in Counselling and all my work is fully supervised by qualified, experienced supervisors. I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists and as such I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and subject to the Professional Conduct Procedure for the time being in force. |
